Upon arrival, you are welcomed by our Star Holidays English speaking tour guide and be transferred to our hotel. Beijing is the capital of China and has recently been selected as the host city for the 2008 Olympics. Visit the Great Wall after lunch and taste the Peking Roast Duck Dinner tonight.
Day 4 Beijing -- Urumqi B L D
Fly to Urumqi, Followed by the stunning Pastureland in Nanshan. Established over 2,000 years ago Urumqi was the Silk Road for trading tons of silk and spices each year over three countries, connecting China with Afghanistan, Iran, the Black Sea and the Roman Empire. Served local cuisine tonight and overnight in Urumqi.
Day 5 Urumqi -- Kashi B L D
Take a view of the Mt. Tianshan and visit the heavenlyLake. Fly to Kashi, a haven for spies and housing some fabulous consulate building, this city, was used as a basion by the Brits looking west towards Indias and the Soviets thought to be plotting to absorb Xinjiang.

Travel to Turpan, visit the Suliman's Minaret, Thousand-Buddha Gaves, Flaming Mountain.

Visit Gaochang Ruins, the Karez Well, the Grape Valley, then proceed to Dunhuang by train.

Visit the Mogao Grottoes, which is the biggest in China and houses rich trove of stone carvings and mural paintings, Shazhou Old Town.
Day 11 Dunhuang/Lanzhou B L D
Visit the Rattling Sand Mount and the Crescent Moon Spring. We take overnight soft sleeper train to Lanzhou.
Day12 Lanzhou -- Xian B L D
Arrive in Lanzhou in the morning and take a city tour to Bingling Grottoes. With the first cave built in 420 AD, Bingling Grottoes are next to those in Dunhuang and the Maiji Mountain in magnitude and the value of their historical relics. We take a late afternoon flight to Xian, Xian was the capital of eleven dynasties before the move to Beijing and is a city rich with 5000 years of history.

The Terra Cotta Army of Qin Emperor is regarded as the eighth wonder of the world has drawn through of visitors to Xian each year. After spending generous time at the three excavation pits, head back into town and tonight we attend a delightful Imperial Dumpling Banquet, and enjoy the Tang Dynasty Dancing Show.
Day 14 Xian – Beijing – Los Angeles B L D
Today’s highlights are the Bell Tower and Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Fly back to the USA via Beijing.
